Robert won a Valentine's Day Gift Basket from a radio station in February. In it there was a gift certificate for a overnight stay at the Blue Boar in Midway, Utah. It expired at the end of August, so we decided we should use it for our anniversary even though our actual date is September 6th. It was a quaint little inn located in a quiet setting up by the golf course. We had a nice stay while Zach stayed at my parents home for an overnighter too.

Breakfast was unbelievable! We were the only two in the eating area and the waiter handed us a menu with breakfast items starting at $7.99 on up to $15.00. We were told that breakfast was included so we went ahead and ordered. I ordered the French Toast and Robert ordered the Steak and Eggs....delicious! Then the waiter brought our bill for $28.00 plus and we were confused! :) Then we noticed a Continental Style breakfast set up over in the corner. (Had we eaten the wrong kind of breakfast included with our room?) As we handed our credit card over to the waiter to pay, he said "oh, my mistake, breakfast is included with the room" and he proceeded to cross out any cost to us except for the tip! :) What a clever waiter! We had a great laugh about that on the way home! But it was a delicious breakfast and well worth the cost of the tip!
When we were about to sit to eat we met the owner of the Blue Boar Inn who was very friendly and visited with us for awhile.

That is a neat place. The breakfast story reminded me of our breakfast misunderstanding in Paris in our hotel. I 'm glad your meal was complimentary. Sounds like a great get away.
Looks fun and romantic. The place is neat and the breakfasts look amazing. Glad you got out of it for just the tip. I guess the waiter wanted to be sure you tipped on a $28.00 tab instead of a complimentary tab. Happy anniversary.
