Adventures in Babysitting

While John and Lisa were enjoying Anniversary bliss (with Angus, John, Tawnie, and Sam), Robert and I were holding down the fort for them. We had a lot of fun with the girls, but Zach was in HEAVEN...playing every day for hours non-stop! Now I know what it feels like to be a mother of five! :) The first night we had mom, dad, Leslie, and Aaron over for dinner.

Stell (as I call her) eating a yummy Paces pop.

Caroline doing her thing on the monkey bars. She was such a big help to me until she left for Grouse Creek with her grandma Richardson.

Stella at the Rec. Center pool. She absolutely loved being in the water! She stayed outside until her lips turned blue. Then we went inside for warmth and more fun!

Stake Lagoon Day

Every year when the Lagoon ads start on TV, Zach asks when our Stake Lagoon Day is because it is the only time we go all year. He loves it so much and every year he tries something new and it becomes his obsession. "It's What Fun Is!" right? This year his obsession was the Dinosaur Drop/Lady Bug Bob last year it was the Dinosaur roller coaster.

Zach giving the thumbs up to his favorite ride. He rode it at least 20 times.

Zach wanted to to try the Terror Ride but I did not have a pass, so a young gal rode with him for me. He said it was not scary, but he plugged his ears at the end due to the loud horn!

The Missionaries Return

We thought it would be fun to make a sign for the return of Robert's parents from their 18-month mission in Toronto, Canada. The kids had a great time painting and it looked great when it was finished.

Some of the family killing time while awaiting the arrival of the missionaries. Stella in my old cool shades.

Family members also waiting in the cool of the shade for the motorhome to crest the hill.

The Missionaries Return Cont'd

A Day at the Car Wash

We had been getting some things done on mom and dad's house before they return from their mission. We had just finished cleaning out the gutters when Robert decided to hose me down because it was so hot. Well, that turned into a full on water fight. We were all laughing so hard. So while we were wet, we thought we might as well wash the car.

Zach loved the soapy bubbles and kept doing the areas that Robert and I had just washed!

The boys working hard.
The next day, Zach said that he thought he was big enough to make his own peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He did a pretty good job I must say.
