It's All About Zach....cont'd...

This is how we have been enduring the 100+ degree temperatures this summer...We sure love the new Bountiful Rec. Center pool and Zach loves to fine tune his swimming skills he learned at swimming lessons. Can you unteach a child the plugging the nose thing?

Robert always makes fun of me because I buy cheap swimming goggles. What do think about these? Zach loved them (because they are green, his favorite color) until the glasses had half of the swimming pool water inside of them.

Zach took swimming lessons again from Natalie and improved even more. This is the dive which he was introduced to this summer.

He has no fear of the diving board, here as well as at the Bountiful Rec. Center.

It's All About Zach....

The middle of July my sister's youngest boy Adam played in a baseball tournament (in the blazing heat) and took 2nd overall. This is Adam up to bat.

This is Zach watching Adam up to bat in his front row seat. Can you tell it is hot!
Zach has loved Thomas the Tank Engine since he was about 2 years old. Everyday he tells Robert and I to come and see the new track he has built. We think he will be an engineer.

Leslie and lil' Aaron came by for visit and this is how Aaron gets Zach's attention.

The girls also came to play one day and the fan was messing up their hair, so they all wanted to have messy hair. Eating their favorite Macaroni and Cheese.

Zach loves Pirates of the Caribbean and got this bandanna from somewhere and we discovered him wearing it when we checked on him in bed.

Zach has loved going to the park. This is the old Rocket Park and he says these monkey bars are easier than the blue park's monkey bars. Here he is doing them all the way across. He was very proud of himself for doing it.

This is Zach in Grandma and Grandpa Higginson's apricot tree. This has been one of his favorite things to do also, and he prides himself on how big he is and how far up he can climb. He is not afraid of heights like his dad.

Isn't he a handsome boy? I think so....

24th of July Celebration!

This is the gang who could make it to the parade. I decided that I wanted to save a spot for anyone who would be interested to view the parade from the shade and followed in Lori, Lisa, and Mark's footsteps from last year. I got down to main street at 4:30 a.m. and reserved the same spot as last year. There were already people gathering and I put out my camp chairs, read my book, and hung out until 7:00 a.m. (when chairs can "officially" be put out). I met a nice lady named Beth and we visited with another young man who had designed a float for his Stake. That made the time pass faster and Robert let me sleep in when I got home. Thanks Robert! What a fun parade and the kids loved it, which made all of it worth it. We will have to do it again next year!

Waiting for the first entrants of the parade to arrive....and the candy....
Zach being cooooooool. Don't you love the Powerade mustache?
Waving at the Shrek float by the Children's Miracle Network. Kids no longer waiting on blankets but getting ready for any candy being thrown.
Later that night, thanks to Tawnie saving spaces, we watched an incredible fireworks show with what ever family members could make it. Thanks Tawnie...it sure was worth it, huh?
John and Lisa family, the rest of the kids are somewhere running around.
Teresa and Elise.
Hannah, Zach, Elise, and Thomas.
Zach wanted to hold Samuel...that is the cutest smile on his face!
Nairn helping kids with the glow sticks that can be made into a ball....hence the next picture.
Awesome fireworks....my Sony camera does not do it justice!

Zach's favorite kind of fireworks because they are green.

Thought you might enjoy a little slideshow.

Robert created a slideshow to email out to all of the bride leads that we get from Utah Brides, Salt Lake Bride, and Utah Bride and Groom. I helped him pick out the pictures to use and thought it would be fun to put it on my blog. To watch it simply click on the triangle in the middle of the screen. Oh, and be sure and push pause on my music player on the right because the slideshow has music. Enjoy.

Madsen Reunion at Bear Lake

This is my first ever blog posting and, thanks to Tawnie's friend Heidi, I have an adorable blog header. Now I am determined to keep a journal of our family's activities and wanted to start with our trip to Bear Lake to join other family members on the Madsen side for the 4ht of July week. We do this every other year because my family has to travel from various states/cities across the country (Ohio, Oklahoma, and Vernal). It is great to get together with family and catch up on all that is going on. It is also neat to see cousins play so well together even when they are not around each other for sometimes a year or more. Thanks mom and dad, for providing an opportunity for this gathering...It was the best!
